Emma Parkington

 

At Sage:              

  • A newcomer with the Gators in 2018, Emma Parkington was named Empire 8 Rookie of the Week on opening week of her collegiate career. By season’s end, she earned three selections as the Empire 8 Rookie of the Week.
  • At year’s end, she was also selected to the 2018 Empire 8 All-Sportswomen Team and was recognized as the 2018 Gator of the Year.
  • As a sophomore in 2018, Parkington finished with a team-best 223.0 points on 174 kills with 23 aces and 47 blocks and 169 digs.
  • Parkington led the 2019 Gators with 100 sets played in 2019, while also finishing the campaign with a team-leading 250.5 points.
  • Along the way, she added 206 kills with a 2.06 sets per kill average and posted a team-best 30 aces. She had a .957 serving percentage to go with her 282 digs, 27 total blocks and 2.51 points per set average. She also had five double-double performances for the Gators in 2019.
  • As she enters her junior campaign, Parkington has appeared in 57 matches with 201 career sets played.
  • Her 1.89 career kills per set average ranks 13th in the Sage career record book as she boasts 380 career kills.
  • Parkington has 451 career digs, 2.24 per set, while adding 53 career aces. She has racked up 292 career setting assists with 74 total blocks. She has 67 career block assists with 473.5 career points. She is averaging 2.35 points per set on her career as well. 

 

Academics at Sage:

  • She is majoring in nursing at Sage.
  • She was named to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for her efforts in the classroom and is also a Dean’s List student and a Sage Scholar-Athlete.

 

High School:

  • A graduate of Wahconah High School, she was a stellar performer in both volleyball and softball.
  • A First-Team All-Western Mass pick in volleyball, she was also honored with a selection to the Berkshire County All-Star Team.
  • She earned MVP honor for the Berkshire County Team and was a MaxPreps Player of the Week in softball, while also earning a spot on the softball All-Berkshire Country squad.
  • In softball, she led the team to the Western Mass Division II Finals in 2018.
  • She was also a high honors student, collecting a history award for her efforts in the classroom.
