Bio

As a rookie guard Megan Bowman averaged 7.7 ppg in 18 starts, but missed the last two weeks of the season with illness. She led the team with 80 assists and 38 steals and was cited three times as the Skyline Rookie of the Week.  By season's end, she was named the team's Rookie of the Year.

As a sophomore, Bowman paced the team with her 9.7 ppg average and led the team in scoring with her 222 points.  Named the Gator of the Year at year’s end, she had a team-best 97 assists with 71 steals and averaged 29.9 minutes a game in 23 contests played with 22 starts.  She also set a Sage record for most assists in a single game with 13.

 As a sophomore, she was the Gators’ high scorer nine times and has been the high scorer 12 times during her career as well in 42 games played. She was ranked among the Skyline Conference leaders last year standing No. 2 in assists per game (4.22), No. 4 in steals (3.09 p/g), and No. 3 in assist to turnover ratio (0.97).

Named to the Skyline Conference All-Star First Team as a junior, Bowman’s third campaign with the Gators has been one laced with numerous honors. After helping the Gators to the program’s first-ever Skyline Conference Championship, she was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Skyline Tournament.

She was also honored as a 2013-14 D3Hoops All-Region Third Team honoree. She led the team with a 12.7 ppg average and handed out a Sage single-season record 142 assists with 74 steals. She ranks No. 27 in Div. 3 in assists per game (5.3), while ranking No. 53 in the latest NCAA stats ranking in assist to turnover ratio (1.8) and No. 68 in steals per game (2.74). She scored 344 points on the season in 27 starts and her 344 points ranks No. 5 all-time in single-season efforts.  

After three seasons, Bowman ranks No. 11 in career points scored (713), while ranking No. 2 in assists (319), No. 6 in steals (183), and No. 15 on career three-pointers made (40). She has also played in 69 games at Sage with 67 starts.  She is continuing the climb in Sage’s career records book as well as she is No. 2 in career assists (317), while ranking No. 6 in career steals (181), and No. 15 in career three-point baskets (39). She is also making a run at career free throw percentage, while ranking 16th in career games played (68). Her junior season numbers also rank among Sage’s high-water marks as her 334 points on the year is No. 5 and her free throws made is No. 6. Her free throw attempts is No. 3, while her assists on the season is a new standard (140) and counting.

Her junior season wrapped with a selection as the 2013-2014 Sage Female Athlete of the Year after earning Gator of the Year honors once again. Her junior season included a selection to the Regis All-Tournament Team as well as six selections to the Skyline Weekly Honor Roll and one selection as Skyline Player of the Week after leading the team to the league championship.

A graduate of Saranac H.S., she was a four-sport performer there, excelling in basketball, soccer, track, and golf. In basketball, she was a first and second-team all-state performer scholastically, while earning defensive player of the year honors on the hardwood. She also excelled in soccer earning numerous honors as well. She helped her basketball team to a section championship title, while also participating in the regional championships. She helped lead her track team to a section championship and was an honor roll student all four years at Saranac H.S.

She is a Dean's List Student at Sage and is majoring in law and society.  She is the daughter of Bradley Bowman and Kristine Lashway.
