Teagan Waddingham

Bio

A two-sport student-athlete at Sage, Teagan Waddingham is quickly leaving her mark on Sage’s soccer field and as a member of the softball team.

In her first season at Sage in softball, she played in 33 games, making 21 starts as the flex player. She had a .947 fielding percentage and used her impressive speed and skills roaming Sage’s outfield.

She finished her second season as the Gator goalie with a 2.42 GAA on the year and played all 1,375 minutes in goal with 110 saves. She netted a .748 saves percentage on the year and has now started 31 games in goal for Sage over the last two seasons with 215 saves and a 2.7 career GAA.

A transfer from Hartwick College, Waddingham played nine games with four starts for the Hawks in goal on the soccer team. She added a 2.38 GAA and a .759 saves percentage in 265 minutes of service.

In high school, she was a three-sport athlete at Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk and was the soccer team MVP. She also earned numerous post-season awards and led her soccer team to the Colonial Council Championship and a state semifinalist finish in 2008.  She excelled in softball as well wining the 2010 and 2011 Sportsmanship Awards, while also garnering a spot in the 2011 all-star team. A recipient of the Coaches’ Award, she was tapped as the defensive player of the year as a senior.

At Sage, she is a physical education major. She is the daughter of John and Karen Waddingham. She is also active as a member of Sage’s SAAC and will once again continue her streak of eating a chocolate bar before every single game, a streak she started as a junior in high school.
