Simpson Chosen for the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country and Track and Field Team
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Track and Field senior Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Team.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Track and Field senior Kaiden Simpson (Bennington, VT/Mount Anthony Union) was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Team.
The nursing major, the 2025 Empire 8 Conference Champion in the javelin, repeated as an Academic All-District® honoree. He advanced to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® selections will be announced July 16.
Simpson, who became just the second Gator to win an event at the E8 Championships, was victorious by more than two feet with a mark of 50.87m. The distance, which ranked 16th in the Mideast Region, also increased his program record in the event.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Cross Country and Track and Field Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Gator Bites powered by Papa Johns: The first Gator to win an event at the E8 Outdoor Championships was John Coddington in 2022...He won the hammer throw with a mark of 45.93m...The Gators broke eight school records this spring…The RSC men's team finished eighth at the E8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships, while the women's squad was ninth…The Gators set 11 program records this winter, seven by the men and four by the women…Both RSC squads finished in ninth place at the 2025 E8 Indoor Track and Field Championships.
