As a Gator newcomer last year, Rick Butt went 2-4 in singles playing at the No. 5 and No. 6 spot in the singles ladder. He added a record of 0-6 playing at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles in his first season at Sage.
Frederick “Rick” Butt attended Bellport High School, where he excelled in both football and wrestling. As a member of the football team, he helped the squad to a Class 2 Long Island Championship.
A law and society major at Sage, he is the son of Frederick and Elizabeth Butt.
