Bio

2026 marks the third season for Connor DeSantis as an assistant coach for the Russell Sage College Men's Soccer program. DeSantis rejoined the RSC coaching staff in 2024 after previously serving as a Graduate Assistant for the team during the 2021 and 2022 seasons.

In the fall of 2023, DeSantis expanded his coaching repertoire as the Junior Varsity Boys' Soccer Coach and Assistant Coach for the Varsity Boys' Soccer Team at Ichabod Crane High School. His strategic insights and leadership played a key role in guiding the Ichabod Crane Riders to a Class A Section II title.

DeSantis began his collegiate career in 2015 at SUNY Potsdam, where he played two seasons with the Bears and recorded three goals and two assists. He then played his junior and senior campaigns as a central defensive midfielder at SUNY Brockport.

He tallied three goals with four assists across his two years as a Golden Eagle.

During his senior season in 2018, the Golden Eagles upset the No.6 SUNY Cortland 2-0 in the SUNYAC Championship Game. With their championship victory, SUNY Brockport earned the program's first SUNYAC Championship since 2009 and punched their ticket to the 2018 NCAA Division III Championship. In the NCAA Tournament, they defeated the Liberty League Champions, St. Lawrence 2-1.  That year, the Golden Eagles finished 16-5-2 and tied the mark for the most wins in the program's history.  

DeSantis received his bachelor of science degree in sociology from SUNY Brockport in 2019 and earned his master's degree in School Counseling at Russell Sage in spring 2023.

He currently works as a school counselor at Waterford-Halfmoon Junior/Senior High School and also coaches for the Averill Park Youth Soccer Club.
