Nick Mauro

Bio

A team co-captain for the 2012 team, Nick Mauro has already played in 36 career games as a Gator. 

As a sophomore, he chipped in 4 goals with an assist for 9 points. He finished tied for 5th in the team's scoring race and was part of an impressive offensive and defensive unit that ranked among the Division III leaders in 2011.

His older brother, Michael is one of the goalies at the University of Louisville and is junior on the 2012 team. He is the son of Michael Mauro and Melinda DeGraff.

Sage’s 2011 offense was among the national leaders in several categories.  The Gators ranked 25th in total goals (56), 20th in scoring offense (2.84 gpg), and 38th in total assists (39). The Gators earned two post-season bids in 2011 after advancing to the Skyline Conference Semifinals and earning the team's first spot in the ECAC Metro NY-NJ Tournament.

He capped his sophomore season with his second straight selection to the Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team for his efforts and is a two-time team captain.

As a rookie, he played in 16 games with a goal for the 2010 Gators. He has 11 career points on his career at Sage.

He is a former varsity letterwinner at Bristol Central High School, where he was an all-conference pick as a senior. At Sage, he is majoring in business and is coming off a selection to the Dean's List in the Spring of 2012.
