Gators split action in Skyline Tri-Match at Bard
Annandale on the Hudson, NY----The Sage Colleges women's volleyball team competed on Saturday in a Skyline Conference Tri-Match at Bard College. Sage would defeat SUNY-Old Westbury, 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-20), but dropped the night-cap to St. Joseph's College, 3-1 (22-25, 27-25, 25-19, 25-22). Sage is now 9-18 overall and 6-2 in the league.

For the Gators in the first match on the day against Old Westbury, Sage College's junior Nicole Corbett (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) added six kills with five blocks, while senior Kellie Jones (Troy, NY/Troy) had a junior Sarah Peacock (Duanesburg, NY/Duanesburg) added five kills with six digs.
Junior middle hitter Michelle DeNisco (New Hampton, NY/Goshen) added four kills with a block.
Sage vs. St. Joseph's, L 3-1
Jones had a double-double after leading the team with her 30 digs and 11 kills. Corbett added eight kills and four blocks, while Peacock connected for 16 digs with eight kills.
The Gators will return to action on Sunday, October 25 hosting The College of Mt. St. Vincent in a 1 p.m. Skyline Conference match in the Neff Athletic Center. Prior to the match, Sage will recognize senior Kellie Jones in conjunction with Senior Day.
