Sage Falls To Union; Raises Over $1800 For "Passionately Pink For The Cure"
Schenectady, NY - The Sage Colleges volleyball team lost three games to zero to cross town rival Union College Tuesday evening; 19-25, 17-25, 21-25.
Krista Provost (Duanesburg, NY) led the Gators with nine kills and eleven digs. Sarah Peacock (Duanesburg, NY) added 14 digs, while Kellie Jones (Troy, NY) contributed five kills and five digs.
The event, which featured pink jerseys for both teams, was titled "Passionately Pink for the Cure" and nearly $600 was raised on site for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure program for breast cancer research. Including online and other donations, the event raised over $1800. The late Dr. Aggie Stillman was also honored before the match began. Stillman was a member of the Sage Community who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year.
The Gators return to action Saturday, October 25th as they will host their final Skyline Matches of the year and look to remain undefeated in conference play.
