Gators Suffer Second Conference Loss Of Season
Newburgh, NY - The Sage Colleges women's tennis team lost to Mount Saint Mary College 3-6 Thursday evening. The loss moves them to 9-4 overall and 6-2 in Skyline Conference play.
Number one singles Christina Gray (Clifton Park, NY) remained dominant as she defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-1. Melissa Sageman (Westford, MA) recorded the only other singles win for Sage, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
Gray teamed up with Kate Saulsbery (Albany, NY) to defeat their doubles opponent 8-3; recording the lone doubles win for Sage.
The Gators are currently in third place in conference play. Sage will await the results from the remainder of the matches around the conference for final seedings in the conference tournament, beginning Tuesday.
