Sage shines at Green Mountain Invitational
Rutland, VT– The Sage College's men's cross country team was in action on Saturday at the Green Mountain College Invitational. Sage's men's team picked up a third place team finish with a score of 76 points behind the champion, MCLA (61) and Hudson Valley Community College (62) , while the host Green Mountain took fourth (77).

Hudson Valley's Paul Cox led all runners over the 8K course with a time of 26:50. For the Sage men's team, rookie Juan Reyes-Alvarez (Latham, NY/Shaker) was the first Gator finisher in fourth place with his time of 27:17. Sophomore Jesus Vaquez-Lopez (Latham, NY/Shaker) finished in is eighth place for the Gators in a time of 27:48. Junior Bryan Kelly (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley Central) took 10th in 28:29.
Senior Cory Alvarado (Shokan, NY/Onteora) finished in 16th place in 29:51, while sophomore Taylor McMillen (Wyantskill, NY/Averill Park) picked up 38th in a time of 33:22. Junior Anthony Crawford (Bronx, NY/Frederick Douglass Academy) added a 45th place finish in 36:33.
Next up for Sage is the 2012 Skyline Conference Championships on October 28 at Chadwick Lake Park, Newburgh, NY.
