A returning letterwinner from the 2016 track season, Logan Thayer returns after a strong rookie season. Competing in the throwing events, she competed in the shot put, the discus and the javelin, all events she will look to continue with this season. She turned in her top showing in the discus with a throw of 26.44 meter, picking up 15th at the Smith College Invitational. Her best mark in the javelin came in the Panther Invitational at Middlebury College with a throw of 20.31 meters taking home 14th place. She added a mark of 8.5 meters in the shot put competing at the Capital District Championship at RPI with a 14th place finish.
Academics at Sage:
She is majoring in nursing at Sage with a minor in Spanish. A Dean’s List student, she is also part of the honors program at Sage. She is a member of the Nurses Association at Russell Sage College.
A graduate of South Glens Falls High School, she earned letters in indoor and outdoor track and field as well as volleyball and basketball.
She is the daughter of Louis and Robin Thayer and is very active on campus. A member of the Sagettes singing group, she is also a member of the Dance Ensemble, and works as a student ambassador in the RSC Admission Office.
