Genevieve Schoff

At Sage:

  • A newcomer at Sage, Schoff penned her name into the women’s basketball record book as she earned Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year status at season’s end. She was named to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll three times, while also earning Rookie of the Week citations five times. She was also a Skyline Conference All-Star Second Team honoree after connecting for 8.3 ppg with 5.7 rpg.
  • A starter in 25 of 26 games as a rookie, Schoff shot 41.0% from the floor and added 19 blocks with 50 assists and 21 steals. She averaged 27.4 minutes a game in 2014-2015, while connecting for 11 three-point baskets.
  • Named the Sage Gator of the Year in women's basketball for the 2015-2016 season, she helped lead the team throughout year as they finished as the Skyline Conference regular-season champions and the Skyline Conference Tournament runners-up after a record setting campaign that saw the Gators go 21-6.
  • She finished her sophomore season with a school-record 132 free throws on the season and was ranked No. 8 in free throws made, No. 12 in free throws attempted (196), while also ranking No. 52 in offensive rebounds with 4.0 per game.
  • All told, she was ranked 10 different NCAA Division III categories on the 2015-2016 season. She  tallied a team-leading 419 points, which is the third highest point total for a Gator. She also penned her name into the single-season record book with 149 made free throws on 196 attempts. Schoff was a First Team All-Skyline pick as a sophomore.
  • As a junior, Schoff repeated as a Skyline First Team all-star, while also leading the team to the NCAA’s once again after winning the 2016-2017 Skyline Tournament. She earned Skyline Player of the Week citations once last season, while garnering honor roll placement four times. She was once again selected as the Gator of the Year in women’s basketball for her efforts in 2016-2017.
  • She led the team in scoring with a 13.6 ppg average on 395 points as a junior. The 395 points is in a season is fourth best in single-season performances. She collected her 1,000th career point as well during her junior season and opens her final season 1,031 career points and ranks No. 5 in scoring. She is also third in career rebounds with 663 after adding 9.2 rpg as a junior on 268 boards.
  • She is also second on the career block list at Sage with 96 after adding 38 blocks a year ago in 29 games started. She also broke Sage’s career free throws made mark already, having made 308 free throws and owns a 74.4% career free throw percentage at Sage. She is also a career leader with 152 assists, which is 11th best, while her 82 games played already is 12th best.
  • Her personal-bests include 29 points against Purchase (1/26/16), 21 rebounds against SUNY-Old Westbury (2/20/16), and 6 assists vs. Purchase (2/11/15).

Academics at Sage:

  • Schoff is majoring in physical therapy at Sage.
  • She has earned multiple Dean’s List citations and is a three-time Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team member.
  • Tapped as the 2015-2016 Skyline Conference Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, she is also a member of Sage’s Athletic Honor Society.

High School:

  • Her scholastic resume is filled with numerous honors as a three-sport standout at Little Falls High School. She served as a team captain in all three sports she played, soccer, basketball, and softball. She was an all-league all-star as well in each sport. She earned MVP honors from the league in basketball and was tapped for the All-Mohawk Valley Team for basketball as well as the All-CNY Team. She earned a pair of Section 3 Class C MVP honors as well on the hardwood and was named to the State Tournament All-Star Team for her play. She was also named to the All-State Second Team in basketball and scored over 1,200 points.
  • In soccer and softball, she led her team to sectional titles as well as a league championship in softball. She helped her basketball team garner three league titles and a pair of sectional crowns titles.
  • Academically, she excelled and was named to the National Honors Society after graduating in the top 10 in her class and was named the recipient of the Section III Scholar-Athlete Award.

Personal:

  • Her father, Ted, played baseball at Brown University, while her sisters have both played in college. Her sister, Ann, played softball at Nazareth College and her sister, Sue played both softball and basketball at SUNY-Oswego. She is the daughter of Sally and Ted Schoff. Her father Ted was also recently inducted in the New York state Baseball Hall of Fame.
