Kristen Silk

At Sage:

• A two-sport performer at Sage, Kristen Silk is a member of the women’s soccer team as well as Sage’s softball team.
• As a rookie in soccer, she made one start in 14 appearances. She added 4 points on a goal and 2 assists. As a freshman on both the soccer and softball teams at Sage during the 2016-2017 academic year, she helped both teams earn Skyline Conference Tournament appearances.
• In 2017 in soccer, she added 10 points on five goals, while playing in all 16 matches.
• On the softball field in 2017, she played and started all 41 games with a .235 batting average.
• At the plate, she totaled 24 hits, 26 runs, one double, two home runs, 10 RBI’s, 16 walks, two sacrifice flies and three sacrifice hits with a .235 batting average. The freshman ended the year with a .304 slugging percentage and a .355 on-base percentage.
• On the softball diamond, she started 16 of 21 games played in 2018 with a 4-4 effort on the base paths and had a .920 fielding percentage.
• As a junior in softball in the spring of 2019, she started 11 of 25 games played while batting .219 with 8 RBI. She added a .344 slugging percentage as well and scored eight runs.
• With a shortened 2020 season, Silk started all 12 games on the year and had a .220 batting average. She was a perfect 3-3 on stolen bases and had 5 RBIs on two doubles and a home run.
• As a softball player at Sage, Silk has now started 80 of 99 career games played and sports a .217 career batting average. She has scored 53 runs of 47 hits with six doubles, four home run, and has driven in 24 runs. She is also 26-27 on her career in stolen bases and has drawn 25 walks as well.
• In the fall of 2018, she helped the women’s soccer team garner their first post-season bid as a member of the Empire 8 Conference after adding three goals in 19 matches played. She wrapped her stellar soccer career having played in 65 games with 23 career points on 10 goals with three assists after adding a goal and an assist on the Gators’ 2019 squad.

 Academics at Sage:

• She is majoring in health sciences with a path physical therapy at Sage and completed her undergraduate degree in December of 2019 and is currently enrolled in the graduate program.
• A Dean’s List student, she was named to the Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team in the fall in soccer and in the spring in softball as a rookie.
• She has since earned five selections to the Empire 8 Presidents’ List and was also honored as a Sage Scholar-Athlete five times. She was inducted into Sage’s Athletic Honor Society in the Spring of 2019 and also very active as a member of SAAC at Sage.

High School:

•  A three sport athlete at Greenville Central High School, Silk played tennis, softball and basketball.
• A two-year softball captain, Silk was a three-time League All-Star and a Section II All-Star.
• She led her team to a Patroon Conference Championship and a Section II Class C Championship.
• Silk also helped Greenville soccer to a Section II Co-Championship.
• Silk was a four-time scholar-athlete and Principals High Honor Roll. She graduated fifth in her class.

 Personal:

• Kristen is the daughter of James and Jennifer Silk, and sister to Sage softball all-conference performer, Alexa Silk (2014-2018).
