Frankie Pearson

Bio

Frankie Pearson is a two-sport student-athlete at Sage. Last year, she arrived on the softball field just days after earning 2013-2014 Skyline Conference Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year honors. She guided the Gator hoop team to the program’s first Skyline Conference Championship and a spot in the 2014 NCAA Division III Tournament. She was also placed on the Skyline Second Team and is a candidate for D3Hoops.com honors. She connected for a 9.0 ppg average with a team-best 39 three pointers. She played in all 27 games and added 29 assists with 26 steals. She averaged 20.0 minutes per game in her first campaign and ranks No. 10 in single-season record with her three-pointers made. Over the course of the season, she earned four Skyline Rookie of the Week honors.

As a sophomore on the hardwood, she capped the year with a 7.3 ppg average in 25 games. She added a 3.3 rpg average as well with 30 steals and 31 assists. She already has 69 career three-pointers and is No. 9 on the Sage career list.

As a newcomer in softball in 2014, she batted .259 with 26 starts in 33 appearances. She added five triples with three doubles for a .420 slugging percentage and helped the Gators win the 2014 Skyline Conference regular-season championship and a Skyline Conference Runner-up finish in the tournament.

A four-year letterwinner in field hockey, basketball and soccer, Pearson excelled at Hoosick Falls Central High School.  In basketball, she earned Wasaren League First Team Honors as well as Banner Player of the Year status from the Troy Record as well as Time Union First Team honors as a senior. A two-time team captain, she was also voted team Most Valuable Offensive Player as a senior.

In field hockey, she capped her career with a numerous honors and finished with the third highest shutout record at her school (51.5), while serving as a three-year team captain. Her excellence also carried over onto the softball diamond where she earned Player of the Year honors and was a Wasaren First Team All-Star and two-year team captain as well a team MVP after guiding the team to the state semifinals.

A health sciences major at Sage, she is the daughter of Robert Pearson and Carol Simmons. She earned National Honor Society status after also ranking 14^th in her graduation class. At Sage, she is a Dean’s List student and also earned acclaim as a member of the 2014 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team in both basketball and softball.
