WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

Troy, NY - Freshman Nicole Corbett (Castleton) of the Gator volleyball team was named Rookie of the Week by NYSWCAA (New York State Women’s Collegiate Athletic Association) for her performance last week. 

Corbett, a middle hitter, averaged 3.75 kills and 1.083 blocks while hitting .481 (45-6-81) in a 4-0 week for the Gators. She recorded double-digit kills three times, including 14 on 23 attempts against Farmingdale. Corbett also earned Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honors for the second straight week.

Senior forward Lisa Reles (Colonie) etched her name in the record books with a four goal performance this past Saturday against Polytechnic University.  Her performance broke the previous record of three goals in a single game.  Reles is a captain for Sage as well among the leaders in points on the season with 15 points. 

Both volleyball and soccer squads sit a top of the Skyline Conference in the first year of competition.
