2007 Gators Ready for Skyline
After coming off a 7-9 season in the 2006 season, Head Coach Cedric Gaddis is ready to take the reigns and lead the Gators in the Skyline.
Expected to lead Sage this year is Nellie Rustick (Claverack), who won 9 out of her 16 doubles appearances last year and recorded wins in more than half of her singles matches. Rustick also tallied a five match winning streak in the middle of the season
Also returning for Sage are Melissa Sageman (Westford, MA) and Chloe Joule (Southport, ME). Sageman notched six wins out of twelve individual matches, including a three match winning streak toward the end of the season. Sageman was also named Player of the Week for posting a 6-0 match score and having a clutch doubles victory to help the Gators to their longest winning streak of the season with three wins
Newcomer Kathryn Saulsbery (Albany) is expected to step into the line up and make an impact right away. Gaddis will also look to freshman Ashley Brennan (Loudonville) for consistent contributions throughout the season.
The Gators open their season against Castleton College on September 6th at 4pm at Prospect Park.
