Gators Defeat Polytechnic University

Troy, NY- Sage basketball picked up a huge conference win over Polytechnic University tonight, by a score of 59-43, to stay in sole possession of sixth place in the Skyline. The Gators were led by senior captains Ashli Fragomeni (Wynantskill, NY) and Lynsee Barnes (Guilderland, NY) who broke the game open in the second half after being a few points ahead of the Fighting Blue Jays 25-22 at halftime. Fragomeni recorded 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Barnes contributed 14 points, 3 steals and 3 assists. Polytechnic University had a notable performance from Shelby Lipka (Whitehall, NY) who scored 12 points and had 6 rebounds.

Sage plays Monday at 7pm in another Skyline Conference match up versus first place opponent Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh.
