SOFTBALL MINI CAMP
June 23rd- 25th

The Sage Colleges Softball Field
Directed by Lindsay Sawyer, this intermediate level camp is open to girls 8 to 18, including 2008 high school graduates. The camp will feature collegiate athletes as well as coaches as instructors. Your daughter will be taught the basic mechanics of hitting, bunting, throwing, fielding and base running. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. This camp offers team, family and early bird discounts on completed registrations postmarked before 6/1/08. Don't delay- only 40 participants may attend. Walk-ups welcome.
VOLLEYBALL CAMP
July 7th-11th

Kahl Campus Center Gymnasium
This week long camp offers the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies necessary for the game of volleyball. Camp Staff will instruct campers in the latest techniques of passing, serving, setting, hitting, blocking, and digging. Time will also be devoted to team offense and team defense. Every camper will receive and t-shirt and lunch. The Camp is directed by Sandy Collins.
SOFTBALL CAMP- ADV
July 7th-10th

The Sage Colleges Softball Field
Directed by Lindsay Sawyer, this advanced level camp is open to girls ages 13 to 18, including 2008 high school graduates. Throughout the week, current collegiate players as well as coaches will instruct your daughter on the finer points of fastpitch softball using various drills, games, and contests. Learn the detailed mechanics to hit, slap, bunt, throw, slide and field. The camp will run from 9am to 3pm Monday through Wednesday. The final day, Thursday, will run from 9am to noon, and will feature the Gator Olympics, pizza party and awards. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt and lunch. This camp offers $25 team and family discounts, as well as an early bird discount with registration completed and postmarked by 6/15/08! Don't delay- only 40 participants may attend. Walk-ups welcome.
VOLLEYBALL TEAM CAMP
July 18th-20th
5pm-8pm, 9AM-3PM

Directed by Sandy Collins , the team volleyball camp offers the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamental skills, techniques and strategies for the game of volleyball. Camp staff will instruct teams in the latest techniques as well as offensive and defensive systems and strategies. There will also be time dedicated to scrimmages and situations. This camp is open to girls in grade 9-12, including 2008 graduates. You may register as a team or as an individual.
LEADERSHIP CAMP
July 21st-25th

Robison Athletic Center
Looking for some fun this summer but want something different than your typical day camp! If you are between the ages of 13 and 16 this is the camp for you! Come join us for a week of fun that will help you develop your leadership and teamwork skills, as well as give you skills that are necessary in every day life. Campers will participate in project adventures games as well learn skills like CPR/FA. All participants will receive a T-shirt and lunch. This camp is directed by Jill Grebert.
Meet The Camp Directors:
Sandy Collins: Coach Collins brings over 11 years of collegiate experience to the camp. Collins has directed the Union volleyball program for the past 8 years and previously coached at Sage and Randolph Macon as well as ten years at the high school level.
Jill Grebert: Jill has been the Director of Recreation and Fitness for The Sage Colleges for the past 5 years. In her time at Sage she has worked closely with student leaders in assisting with the Student Mentor program on the Albany Campus as well as serving as Class Advisor.
Lindsay Sawyer: Coach Sawyer is a Graduate of Hofstra University where she played shortstop and was named to the All-American East Conference Team from 98-01. Sawyer coached at C.W. Post Campus of long Island University winning NYCAC Conference coaching staff of the Year ‘01 and NFCA Northeast Coaching Staff of the Year ‘01. Sawyer took over the Head Coaching position at Sage this year after two years as an assistant at Division I University of Rhode Island.
