Sidoti provides a spark in Gator loss
Troy, NY—The Sage Colleges hosted defending Skyline Conference champion, Mt. St. Mary College in Friday afternoon at Prospect Park. The Knights collected an 8-1 win to improve to 5-1 and 2-0 in the Skyline Conference. Sage falls to 4-6 overall with a 2-1 conference record.
Sage's junior Danielle Sidoti (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) was a winner at No. 2 singles as she took the first set, 6-3 and then her opponent was retired with Sidoti leading 2-1 in the second set over Jaime Lubniewski. Sidoti, this week's Skyline Conference women's tennis player of the week, improves to 6-3 in singles action to lead the Gators.
Sage will host Farmingdale State on October 8 at 1 p.m. at Prospect Park in a Skyline Conference match.
