Sage faces Union in Annual Crank for a Cure Match

SCHENECTADY, NY -- On October 19, the women’s volleyball teams from The Sage Colleges and Union College and will be going Passionately Pink for the Cure® to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. The teams will play at 7 p.m. at the Viniar Athletic Center. The annual contest marks the fourth year for the event, which is called "Crankin’ for the Cure."

Participating is simple! Just wear pink on October 19 and make a donation of $5 or more to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the leader of the global breast cancer movement. The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has been involved with breast cancer awareness the past few years. Each October, which is national breast cancer awareness month, volleyball programs at every level of the game have been coming together to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.

The Sage Colleges and Union College have participated in that venture with their efforts and are asking for your support by wearing pink on October 19, not only to their match that night but all day as they are hoping for a Pink Out!

If you'd like to contribute online, please use the link below. In return for your contribution, you'll get a pink ribbon pin and the satisfaction of helping to move us closer to a world free of breast cancer.
