Sage's Peacock earns spot on All-Tournament Team

 

New York, NY----The Sage Colleges women's volleyball team wrapped up competition on Sunday at the New York University Labor Day Invitational. Sage would drop the first of two matches to New York University (25-16, 25-14, 25-20) and rebounded with a win on three matches over Rutgers University-Newark (25-12, 25-18, 25-14). The Gators now stand at 1-3 on the year.

The Gators will host Vassar College in the team's first home match of the year on Wednesday, September 9 at 7 p.m. in the Neff Center.

Sage's junior outside hitter Sarah Peacock (Duanesburg, NY/Duanesburg) earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team for her efforts over the course of the weekend.

Against NYU, Peacock added nine kills with 15 digs, while adding 10 kills and eight digs in the match against Rutgers University-Newark.

Senior middle hitter Kelli Jones (Troy, NY/Troy) recorded four kills with nine digs against the NYU Violets. Sophomore libero Kelsey Wilson (Schenectady, NY/Bishop Gibbins) added 12 digs against NYU.

Against RUN junior middle hitter Nicole Corbett (East Greenbush, NY/Columbia) connected on eight kills with a pair of blocks.
