Sage Tennis Falls to Castleton

Castleton, VT -  The Sage women's tennis team (0-1) fell to non-conference opponent Castleton College (1-0) on the road 3-6, losing their first contest of the 2008 campaign.

Doubles winners for Sage include Christina Gray (Clifton Park, NY) and Kate Saulsberry (Colonie, NY) as they defeated their opponents 8-2.  Natalie Holak (Auburn, NY) and Ashley Brennan (Loudonville, NY) also picked up a doubles win for the Gators, winning 8-2.

Melissa Sageman (Westford, MA) recorded the lone singles win for Sage, defeating her opponent 6-4,4-6,10-8.

Sage returns to the court Saturday as they travel to Johnson State for a 1pm start.
