Gators fall at Mt. St. Mary

 

Newburgh, NY--- Mount Saint Mary College spoiled Sage College's night as Danielle Bucco scored with just over five minutes in regulation to help her team to the Skyline Conference victory. With the win, Mt. Saint Mary College is now 3-5-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the Skyline Conference, while the loss snaps Sages' three-game win streak and puts the Gators at 4-3 overall and 1-1 in the league.

Senior Danielle Bucco (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) found the net at 84:52 to keep the game from heading to overtime as she scored the only goal of the match.

Sage's junior goalie Brittany McDonald (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) recorded six saves on the day and is now 4-3 in net. Mt. St. Mary's junior Megan Cotta (Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ) added six saves in earning her first shutout of the year.

Sage returns to action on October 3 hosting Skyline Conference foe, Bard College in a 2 p.m. contest at Stillwater High School.
