Gators drop heartbreaker to Purchase, 1-0

Purchase, NY---The Sage Colleges women's soccer team traveled to Purchase College for Skyline Conference match. Purchase would collect the 1-0 win to improve to 7-5-1 overall and 5-2 in the league, while the loss puts Sage at 6-5-1 overall and 3-3 in the league.

Purchase College would collect the only goal of the match on a penalty kick at 72:09 when Sage's junior goalie Brittany McDonald (Schenectady, NY/Schalmont) was called for a foul after a hard tackle in the box. The Panther's Ashley Panepinto would convert her penalty kick attempt for the game-winner for her squad.

McDonald would finish with three saves on the day, while the Panthers' Shea Macagnone picked up five saves in earning the shutout.
