Sage Soccer Falls In Skyline Conference Quarterfinal
Troy, NY - The Sage Colleges women's soccer team lost 0-1 to Mount Saint Mary College in the Skyline Conference Quarterfinals.
Troy, NY - The Sage Colleges women's soccer team lost 0-1 to Mount Saint Mary College in the Skyline Conference Quarterfinals.
The Gators spent much of the game of the defensive end, but goal keeper Meghan Welcome (Cohoes, NY) made ten great saves before one got by in the 87th minute of play. A physical game from the start, Welcomecame out of goal to get control of the ball that was in a three player pile in front of the goal, fell herself and Blue Knight forward Erin McKeon tapped the ball in after it popped out of the scrum.
Mount Saint Mary outshot Sage 23-12. The Blue Knights advance to the Skyline Conference semifinal at St. Joseph's College. The Gators close their season 7-7-3.
