Gators fall to Regis College on Wednesday, 15-3

Weston, MA—Sage's women's lacrosse team travelled to Regis College on Wednesday afternoon for a non-conference contest. The host Pride posted the 15-3 win to improve to 4-2 and extend the team's win streak to three games. Sage drops to 0-4 on the year.

Regis's sophomore Grace Politis (Billerica, MA/Billerica) and junior Lindsey Graver (Bellingham, MA/Bellingham) paced their squad with four points in the first half on three goals and an assist each as Regis held a 14-0 lead at the break.

To open the second half, Sage's senior attacker Alexa Pajak (Earlton, NY/Academy of the Holy Names) put the Gators on the scoreboard with her goal at 29:25. She added another score to lead the Gators on the afternoon with two goals, while freshman midfielder Mallory Hansen (Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) added a goal for Sage. 

Pajak leads the Gators in scoring this season with 12 goals and 17 points, elevating her active career records to include 49 goals, 10 assists and 59 points. Hansen ranks second on the team in scoring with her nine points on eight goals with an assist.

Senior goalie Courtney Reed (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) suffered the loss after making eight saves in the action. She continues to add to her Sage career record and she now has 263 saves.

Regis's goalie rookie Emma Decker (Southborough, MA/Southborough) picked up the win on net as she recorded six saves on the afternoon and yielded no goals in her 30 minutes in goal. She shared her time on the field with Regis's rookie Seirra Luce, (Hartford, VT/Hartford) who allowed three goals in 30 minutes of work with four saves.

The Gators return to action on March 21 hosting Maritime College at 4 p.m. in the team's 2013 Skyline Conference opener. Action commences at 4 p.m. at RPI's Renwyck Field.
