Bio
Another of the Sage fabulous freshmen from the 2012 team, Samantha Woitkoski had a banner rookie campaign. She started 46 games and hit a cool .341 on the season. She etched her name into a number of Sage single-season records along the way. She ranks No. 7 in single-season at-bats (135), No. 5 in hits (46), and No. 18 in doubles (6). She finished the season with an impressive .385 slugging percentage and was a perfect 5-5 on stolen bases a year ago. She scored 24 runs and had a .371 on-base percentage on the season. She finished the season ranked No. 71 in Division III with her 0.93 RBI's per game average after breaking Sage's single-season RBI mark with her 42 RBIs.
A graduate of Lansingburgh High School, she participated in softball, volleyball, and cheerleading. She earned a spot on the Troy Record All-Area Team as well as the Colonial Council All-Star Team. A team captain in softball, she was also saluted as the team’s MVP as a senior. She helped the 2008 team capture the Colonial Council Championship and the following year the Section II Class A Championship crowns.
A National Honor Society student, was named to the 2012 Skyline Conference Scholar-Athlete Team after also earning Dean’s List acclaim. A 2012 Sage Scholar-Athlete Team honoree, she is majoring in health sciences leading to a doctorate in physical therapy. She is the daughter of Paul and Joann Woitkoski.
