Sage falls to St. Joe's in Skyline men's tennis play
Albany, NY----The Sage Colleges’ men’s tennis team hosted St. Joseph’s College on Saturday at Albany Academy in a Skyline Conference match. The Golden Eagles posted the 9-0 victory to win their seventh straight contest and improve to 7-3 overall and 3-0 in the Skyline Conference. Sage falls to 1-5 overall and 0-3 in the league.

St. Joseph’s senior Dan Celentano (Islip, NY/Islip) added a win at No. 1 singles over Sage’s junior Zach Reiff (Troy, NY/Troy) 6-0, 6-1 and teamed at No. 1 doubles with senior Nick Donadio (Ronkonkoma, NY/Sachem) for a first doubles win over Reiff and freshman Peng (Benny) Zheng (Weirton, WV/Greenville (NY), 8-0.
Celenatno improves to 5-3 in singles at the top spot in the ladder, while junior Erik Forsythe (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) added a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles over Zheng to improve to 8-0 this year in singles play.
Sage returns to action on April 11 for an away Skyline Conference match against Yeshiva University, while St. Joseph’s College hosts Bard College also on Sunday at 1 p.m. in a Skyline Conference match.
