Gators garner numerous awards from Skyline Conference

 

Albany, NY--With the completion of the 2011 Skyline Conference Men's Golf Championship comes the announcement of the Skyline Conference All-Star Team.  Sage's men's golf team was named the recipient of the conference's Sportsmanship Award. The Gators under the direction of Luke Scala took home the runner-up trophy in just their fourth season as a varsity program.  Sage carded a 631 for the event on rounds of 309-322 and finished as the runner-up in the tournament.

Earning First Team honors from Sage were sophomore Zach Meade (Tupper Lake, NY/Tupper Lake) and junior Dan Schulz (Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin Perth). Meade finished second overall after posting a 151 (76-75). Schulz finished in a tie for fifth place and was cited for his efforts on the course after posting a 157.

Sophomore Zach Sullivan (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Lake) finished with a 158 and took honor seventh place and a spot on the second team.
