Ravena, NY ---- The Sage Colleges men's golf team hosted the Sage Invitational on Saturday at Sycamore Country Club.  The seven-team tournament saw Westfield State triumph with a team score of 326 for the 6,610 yard, par 71 course.  

Sage returns to action on April 16 at Hamilton College Invitational. 

Purchase's Esteban Cervantes and MCLA's Shane Ortega shared the role as medalist as they each fired a 78 for the day, while Westfield State's Joey Cooper shot a 79.

Sage was led by the play of junior

an 82 and finished in a tie for fifth place. Junior

th place, while sophomore 

Dan Schulz (Broadalbin, NY/



Broadalbin Perth) shot an 86 for the day. Sophomore 

Ian Pingelski (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes)



finished with an 87, while junior 

Shane McGowan (Schenectady, NY/Amsterdam) had an



88. On Sage's B Team for the day, junior 

Mason Wallace (Latham, NY/Shaker) was the



leader with his 95, while newcomer 
Gerard Beaudin (Delmar, NY) had a 98 in his first



round as a Gator. Junior 

Joshua Weaver (Sandlake, NY/Averill Park) had a 101, while



senior 

Brian Steele (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) had a 101 and junior 

Jake Dixon



 (Mooers, NY/Northeastern Clinton Central) rounded out the Gator scorers with his 115.
