Gators win Cobleskill Invitational for the Second Straight Day

 

 Cobleskill, NY-- 

The Sage Colleges men’s golf team competed at the SUNY-Cobleskill Invitational on Saturday. One day earlier, the Gators won the team title at the same golf course and would repeat their success as they captured a first place in Saturday. Sage which is under the direction of third-year head coach Luke Scala posted their second straight championship in as many days.

Zach Meade (Tupper Lake, NY/Tupper Lake) and 
Rich Christman

(Johnstown, NY/Johnstown) each scored a 75 on the day to lead the Gators as
they combined for a 307 in the day.

Junior 
Nick Osowicki (Amsterdam, Amsterdam) broke 80 as he had a 77 and sophomore 
Ian Pingelski (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes) shot an 80. Junior 
Shane McGowan (Schenectady, NY/Amsterdam) shot an 83 for the Gators.
Sage returns to action on September 21 when they will compete at the Purchase College
Invitational at Old Oaks Country Club with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.
