Sharon Brodie, ATC was named head athletic trainer at The Sage Colleges in August 2006. She joins the athletics department at Sage after spending eight years working at Albany Physical Therapy in their clinical outreach program at Bethlehem High School, Albany College of Pharmacy, and the former Junior College of Albany.

In conjunction to working with Albany PT, Sharon held an internship at HVCC, 1998-1999 season, covering football and ice hockey to increase her exposure to athletic injuries and rehabilitation techniques. In addition to her work at the high school level, Brodie served as athletic trainer for SUNY at  Albany's rugby team as well as a semi-pro arena soccer team. She has been the head ATC for the Super Bowl Champions, Albany Metro Mallers semi-pro football team since 2004.

A native of Duanesburg, NY, Brodie returned to the capital district in 1998 after earning a B.S. in physical education with a sports medicine concentration from Keene State College, in Keene, NH. She is a member of New York State Eastern Regional and National Athletic Trainers' associations and is board certified and licensed in the state of New York. She plans to pursue her master's degree, from The Sage Graduate School, in organization management.
